Donations for Haiti Relief through OGHS can be made by placing your donation in an envelope, mark it Haiti Relief and place it in the collection plate

Please join the local Baptist churches in their Buckets of Hope project to provide food for Haiti earthquake survivors. You will need a new 5 gal bucket with tight fitting lid and a pictorial instruction sheet which lists the contents you will put in the bucket and how to pack these items. (No additions or substitutions in the contents are allowed). This bucket will feed a family of 4 for a week. Also affix a $10 donation to ship the food to Haiti. Janet Moyer will take the buckets to the Winfield Baptist Church, but the buckets need to be returned here to First Church by March 7th. If there are no empty buckets in the entranceway you can purchase them at Lowe's for approximately $3.75. There are instruction sheets in the entrance

Food and Items Needed!
Haven Ministry has an ongoing need for canned goods and non-perishable items. If each member of the congregation brought in one item each Sunday we could help our neighbors in need. As you grocery shop each week remember those who have less. If you see a sale or a buy1/1free offer when you are shopping, consider donating your extra items. One of the caring assets of us as a congregation has been to make a difference in our community in all ways. A box is in the Entranceway for your contributions.
